From May 2021-May 2022 I was a Senior Researcher at the Center for Countering Digital Hate. In this role, I used both qualitative and quantitative data to research, monitor and measure online identity-based hate and misinformation and its actors.

 

I deployed current methodologies and built newer ones to produce agenda-setting briefings, notes and reports. I led CCDH’s Hidden Hate report on misogyny sent to high profile women on Instagram DM, securing access to participants, cataloguing abuse, extracting findings, interviewing participants and curating the information into a report that received extensive media coverage. I built on my extensive OSINT skills and gained a certificate in Excel 1-3.

I have also worked on sensitivity reads and proof-reading tasks for several non-fiction books and have previously completed research tasks for the British Medical Association.
